Earthquakes
It’s no secret that we are unfortunately experiencing an increasing number of earthquakes in our holiday paradise, Alanya. We recommend reviewing your insurance policy to ensure you are adequately covered.
During an earthquake, buildings typically begin to collapse starting from the columns, as they cannot withstand the ground movement. When the columns crack, the floors supported by them also deteriorate. Buildings may eventually collapse if the earthquake is strong enough and the columns and beams lack resistance.
In some cases, a building may completely collapse, while in others, we may only see cracks that can be repaired afterwards. Fortunately, Alanya has not experienced earthquakes that have led to building collapses or put people in danger.
Given this information, it’s essential to have your insurance in order. We are referring to statutory comprehensive insurance (DASK) as well as building and contents insurance . If you need assistance reviewing your insurance, please do not hesitate to contact your advisor here at J.O.Dreams.
Municipal Office
The new Municipal Office in Cikcilli is finally complete, and the various departments are slowly settling into the beautiful new office facilities. This impressive project has been a long time in the making.

The old Municipal Building at the harbour will be preserved. The city is currently deciding what to do with it and is considering a cultural centre that could benefit everyone.

We are pleased to share that our Technical Department has been quite busy lately! We want to take this opportunity to sincerely thank you for the intense interest you showed following our winter email sent in January regarding maintenance and renewal. If you can’t find that email, please don’t hesitate to contact Refik, and we will gladly resend it to you.

Many of you use our services for the internet in your homes. However, we must remind everyone that JOD is not your ISP, so we cannot take responsibility for the results. As many unfortunately experience, connections can sometimes be a bit dodgy down here. We will always do what we can to help you. However, the task and responsibility lie with your ISP, so we depend on their results with you.
