Power of Athorney

If you are in a situation where you want to sell or buy a home in Turkey or if you otherwise need someone to represent your case in Turkey, you have the option of issuing a power of attorney to us.

We often experience that our customers need our help to handle various things when they are in their home country. It can be questions about bills or other things where you have to contact the public offices down here. We at J.O. Dreams can easily help with this, but since almost all public bodies etc. are not allowed to provide information unless it is to you personally, we need a power of attorney in cases where you want us to obtain answers on your behalf.

In order to prepare a valid power of attorney, it must be prepared at a notary office in Turkey, at a Notary in your home country or at the Turkish embassy in your home country. A power of attorney including everything costs approx. 500-600 TL in Turkey.

If you choose to have a power of attorney prepared in your home country, you must be aware that it must be apostille stamped by the authority that does this in the country in question. In Denmark, this is the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

A power of attorney is valid in the sense that you give J.O. Dreams permission to represent you and it is valid based on what you want it to be valid for, meaning that a power of attorney does not necessarily have to be made again. Should you subsequently wish to revoke the power of attorney, this must also be done at a notary.
